Just a few days ago, Paul Walker was killed in a horrific car crash, leaving his family, friends and fans shocked and grief-stricken.
“I’m devastated,” his father, Paul Walker III, told ABC’s station KABC in Los Angeles. “We lost a spirit.”
The accident occurred near an event for Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide, which he founded in 2010, and now his family wants to ensure that his legacy for giving back lives on.
According to a post on his official Facebook page, fans are being asked to give donations to the charity in his honor, in lieu of flowers or gifts. (Fans of the 40-year-old “Fast and the Furious” star have made a memorial at the spot of the accident.)
“It’s comforting for them to know that the son, brother and father they love so much is equally adored, respected and appreciated by so many,” the post reads. “Paul founded the organization with the genuine desire to help others, and it’s important to his family to keep his memory alive through ROWW.”
